Credit Transfer

NOTE:

Only courses listed in the signed Credit Transfer Protocol (CTP) form are officially confirmed to be elligible for transfer to HSMA!

The CTP of faculty W needs to be agreed and confirmed before any other Learning Agreement (e.g. Erasmus+ LA)

Before Your Exchange:

Research Courses

  • Visit the partner university’s website listed on the Global University Partners page.

  • Look for courses that closely match those offered at TH Mannheim, as this increases the chance of recognition.

  • Carefully select the subjects and courses you wish to take abroad.


Create & align your CTP (Credit Transfer Protocol)

  • Attend the "Credits & More" workshop organized by your faculty during the first third of the semester.
    → Use the materials provided in TIW Info in moodle.

  • Complete a CTP form for each selected course.

  • Contact Team IW for feedback via Webex in TIW Outgoings.

  • Once finalized and signed by Team IW, upload the CTP to the application section in TIW Info.


Apply for a Leave of Absence (Urlaubssemester)

  • It’s recommended to apply for a semester off during your stay abroad.

  • Follow the instructions under: “How do I apply for a semester off?” (available in TIW Info or on Moodle).


During Your Exchange:

Update & Align CTP (if needed)

If you change your course selection after arriving:

  1. Contact Team IW to discuss changes via Webex.

  2. Update your CTP accordingly.

  3. Have the new version signed by Team IW.

  4. Upload the updated CTP to the application area in TIW Info.


After Your Exchange:

Register your partcipation in the next Networking Event

  • Send your mandatory experience report through Webex in TIW Outgoings.

Submit Experience Report

  • Send your mandatory experience report through Webex in TIW Outgoings.

Complete & Submit Your CTI (Credit Transfer Implementation)

  1. Fill out and sign the CTI form (available in TIW Info).

  2. Submit your TOR (table of records) from the host university and
    the correctly filled in CTI via Webex in TIW Outgoings.

  3. Upload the signed CTI and the TOR from your host university 
    to your application area in Moodle for secure storage.

  • If you find outdated or incorrect info (e.g., changed links, course offerings), please notify us.
