In accordance with §23 of the Higher Education Act (LHG), the Dean’s Office oversees the faculty and is responsible for all faculty matters, unless otherwise provided by law. The Faculty Executive Board consists of the Dean of the Faculty, the Associate Dean, and a Dean of Academic Affairs. They are elected for a four-year term.

International Affairs Officer

Team International WING

The International Wing (IW) team consists of Ms. Susanne Hausi and Professor Stephan Altmann. They provide you with information about studying abroad during your degree program, assist you with and review your applications, and help you optimize the transfer of academic credits. The team works closely with the International Office (IO) on matters such as Erasmus and funding opportunities.

Student Council

We are the student representative body for the students in our faculty—serving as a bridge between students and professors. You can come to us anytime with questions or concerns. We plan and organize various events.

Academic Affairs Committee

Pursuant to Section 26(3) of the Higher Education Act (LHG), the Academic Affairs Committee shall, in particular, develop recommendations regarding the further development of course content and formats, as well as the allocation of funds earmarked for academic programs and teaching, and shall participate in the evaluation of teaching pursuant to Section 5, taking into account student feedback on courses.

Examination Board

The Examination Board is specifically responsible for deciding on the recognition of academic achievements earned at other universities in Germany or abroad. Furthermore, this body decides on appeals based on hardship and the consequences of violations of examination regulations.
