Welcome to Germany! To help you plan your way to us, we have put together the most important travel options for you. Mannheim main station is a well connected ICE hub and close to Mannheim University of Applied Sciences (MUAS).
If you arrive at Frankfurt/Main Airport, you have the option of continuing your journey to Mannheim by train (ICE, IC). An ICE or IC will take you directly from Terminal 1 of Frankfurt Airport (follow the signs that say "Fernbahnhof/ long-distance trains") to Mannheim Central Station in about 30 minutes. For more information, visit www.bahn.de.
As an alternative, you can also travel to Mannheim by one of the long-distance buses. More information about connections and prices can be found here:
If you land at Frankfurt/Hahn Airport, you can only reach Mannheim by bus. Buses depart from Frankfurt/Hahn Airport at certain times (approx. every 3 hours) and reach the main train station in Mannheim after approx. 2.5 hours. You can find more information here: http://www.holger-tours.de/hahn-express-fahrplan/.
You will arrive at Mannheim via the A6, exit Mannheim Mitte. At the Planetarium, follow the sign to the left in the direction of the University. After you have passed the main station, you will be on Bismarckstraße, which runs directly in front of the castle, which is the seat of the University of Mannheim. The main entrance to the university is in the east wing, which you will now see on your left. Unfortunately, the university does not have a visitor parking lot. We recommend the underground car park under the refectory.
