Admission requirements and selection process
Applicants need to fulfil the formal requirements:
- HZB / high school diploma / secondary school leaving certificate or equivalent
- English certificate (at least Level B2)
- Proof of German language skills, if no German citizenship or HZB exists
- Commercial practice or comparable relevant professional occupation (if existing)
- CV.
The allocation of places follows a selection process (in German).
Evidence for English skills (at least Level B2) can be provided in the following ways:
- English courses were attended throughout the senior classes of secondary school, whereby the average mark as shown on the 'Abitur' certificate must be a minimum of 11 points. If your certificate mentions more than one English level, the lower level will be awarded.
- School achievement will be accepted by continuous English classes for at least 6 years.
- University entrance requirements were fulfilled in an Anglophone school system.
- If none of the above-mentioned proofs can be delivered, one of the recognized language assessment test results can be presented. Please refer to www.europaeischer-referenzrahmen.de
The Bachelor "International Engineering and Management" is a program with a restricted number of places. There are two intakes each year, which are in the spring and fall semester.
The allocation of places follows an selection process (in German).
The following selection criteria apply for the ranking:
- Average mark of the German 'Abitur'.
- Commercial practice or comparable relevant professional occupation.
- English skills (at least Level B2)
Application Process
The application for the bachelor degree program is made via the online portal (German) and must be completed by
15th of January each year (for the summer semester)
15th of July each year (for the winter semester)
winter semester 2021/2022: 31th of July
with all necessary documents before the deadline given above!
The program has started to run up with the courses of the first semester in the winter semester 2017/18. It will take at least until 2022 until all courses listed in the study plan will be offered. Please apply as follows:
German applicants with German university entrance qualification apply directly at the university via the online portal.
Foreign applicants with a German higher education entrance qualification apply directly to the university via the online portal.

How you need to apply for admission depends on whether or not you are a German citizen:
German applicants with a international / foreign university entrance qualification must have their certificate recognized by the Regional Council of Stuttgart (Zeugnisanerkennungsstelle) before applying. After recognition, the application will be made via the online portal.
International applicants with a international / foreign university entrance qualification must first have their certificates examined by the Studienkolleg Konstanz and only afterwards apply at the university via the online portal.
- You register online, fill out the online application completely, submit (by click) your application form and then the affidavit.
- You will receive your application form as a PDF-document. Please download and print it.
- Together with the application, you will receive an individualized overview with all necessary documents.
- Please sign the application form and send it together with all necessary documents to the Zulassungsamt in time. If you specify extra-curricular qualifications or practical activities, you have to prove them.
- You can also inform yourself about your current processing status online, manage your applications, inform yourself about the completeness of your documents and see whether the dispatch has already taken place.
Only fully completed, signed and with all required certificates submitted applications will participate in the award procedure!
