Internship Semester

Bridging Theory and Practice

As part of our holistic approach to education, we offer an internship semester to bridge theory and practice. This invaluable experience gives you the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings, enhancing your employability and providing a deeper understanding of your field. 

Mannheim and the Rhine-Neckar region as an industrial location offer many great companies that are always looking for international interns.

Many of our international and double degree students have completed an internship at John Deere, SAP, Roche, BASF, Daimler, Porsche or Bosch, for example.
 

Double-Degree Exchange Students

For Double-Degree Exchange Students, an internship semester is usually mandatory. Please check the specific requirements at your home university.

The Double-Degree program consists of:

  • 1st semester: Theory
  • 2nd semester: Internship (3 - 6 months) plus bachelor thesis (3 months)
     

Non-Degree Exchange Students

For Non-Degree Exchange Students, an internship semester is usually not mandatory but still possible.

If you are planning to extend your stay at Mannheim University of Applied Sciences after your exchange semester, please first contact your home university and us, so we can support you in finding an internship.
